Midget AAA Hockey - Brandon burns NorMan

The Brandon Wheat Kings stretched their lead in the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League standings to three points over the Winnipeg Wild by blasting the NorMan Northstars 11-1 on Friday night at the Sportsplex.

Bradley Schoonbaert and Ty Lewis each had two goals and two assists for the Wheat Kings (33-3-1), while Jordy Stallard also scored twice and assisted on one goal. Duncan Campbell and Jordan McCausland had a goal and two assists each, with Coltyn Bates picking up one goal and one helper. Josh Kobelka and Matthew Gerdis also scored for Brandon, which got 18 saves from Tyler Gutenberg.

Bryce Horning scored for the Northstars (7-29-1).
