ACC hires two new volleyball coaches

Assiniboine Community College has hired two new volleyball coaches for the upcoming season.

Joel Small will be the coach of the Cougars men’s team. The Brandonite played CIS volleyball for the Brandon University Bobcats. A Canada West conference all-star, he was a tournament all-star at the 2009 CIS championship and also spent time with Canada’s national team program. He has coached club volleyball teams and been an assistant in the high school ranks.

Bryce Wilson will coach the ACC women’s team, bringing more than 16 years of coaching experience at the high school, club and middle school levels. The head coach of six provincial club championship teams from 2001 to 2009, Wilson also has three national medals to his credit. He has won a pair of national club titles as an assistant coach.

The ACC volleyball teams will hold tryouts in September, with Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference matches beginning in November.
