Baldur grabs lead in Border West final

Darrick Jones hit a bases-loaded triple in the second inning to break open Game 3 of the Border West Baseball League final on Sunday in Baldur, as the host Regals topped the Morden Mohawks 12-5.

Jones finished 3-for-4 with one run and four RBIs for Baldur, which took a 4-2 lead in the first-to-six-points series. Travis Strain picked up the win on the mound.

Steve Mullin went 3-for-4 with one run and three RBIs for Morden. Justin Cantlon took the loss on the mound.

The Regals will try to wrap up the series on Tuesday in Morden at 6:30 p.m.
