Bambridge helps Devils handle Huskies

Elisha Bambridge scored three goals and set up two others to lead the Melita/Waskada Devils to an 8-3 victory over the Hamiota Huskies in the Westman High School Hockey League on Tuesday night.

James Turnbull had two goals and two assists for the Devils, while Carter McKinney added a goal and two assists, with Wes Meggison and Will Brown scoring once apiece. Reid Sambrook notched four assists for Melita/Waskada.

Cody Hunter, Riley Boles and Derek Feschuk scored for Hamiota.

Also on Tuesday, the Neepawa Tigers beat the Rivers/Elton Rage 8-1.

Wednesday’s late games between the Vincent Massey Vikings and Hamiota Huskies, and the Killarney/Wawanesa Raiders and Minnedosa Chancellors were still in progress at press time.

At Rivers, Kyle McDonald scored a pair of goals and set up four others for the Tigers. Garett Rempel and Shane Levandosky also netted a pair of goals for Neepawa, while Braedon Mitchell and Jesse Adams added singles. Ryley Weir replied for the Rage.
