Brandon’s Israel Idonije recorded two tackles, assisted on two others, made one sack and forced a fumble to lead the Chicago Bears to a 26-24 win over the Detroit Lions in the final day of the NFL’s regular season.
The Bears finished the year with a 10-6 record, but they just missed the playoffs. Minnesota (10-6) beat the Green Bay Packers 37-34 to move into a tie with Chicago for the sixth playoff spot in the NFC, and the Vikings won the tiebreaker to end the Bears’ season.
