Blades acquire another overager

The Saskatoon Blades acquired 20-year-old forward Adam Kambeitz from the Red Deer Rebels on Monday in exchange for 17-year-old forward Christian Stockl and a third-round pick in the 2014 WHL bantam draft.

The deal allowed the Rebels to get down to the WHL limit of three 20-year-olds before Thursday’s overage deadline, while the Blades now have four.

Stockl has one goal in five WHL games this season and had 36 goals and 68 points in 38 games with the Winnipeg Wild of the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League last season. Kambeitz has four assists in nine WHL games this season and 19 goals and 31 points in 45 games last year.
