Blizzard blank Natives

Grant Valiquette and Nathan Bruyere both scored a pair of goals for the OCN Blizzard in their 6-0 Manitoba Junior Hockey League victory over the host Neepawa Natives Wednesday night.

Tyler Grove and Thomas Ward-Cardinal also found the back of the net for the league-leading Blizzard (20-7-2), with Brandonite Josh Elmes picking up an assist. OCN netminder Alex Henry made 30 saves for his first shutout of the season.

Matt Stallard made 24 saves in 36:22 of playing time for the Natives (6-17-2) before giving way to McCreary’s Matt Coleman, who stopped all 16 shots he faced.
