Jordan McCallum’s third-period goal helped the Winnipeg Blues eliminate the defending champion Steinbach Pistons and advance to the Manitoba Junior Hockey League championship final.
McCallum scored at 13:29 to give the Blues a 3-2 victory over the host Pistons on Tuesday to clinch the best-of-seven Addison Division final in five games.
The Blues will now face the Sher-Wood Division champion Dauphin Kings in the upcoming league final.
Liam Bilton and Kamerin Nault also scored for the Blues, who battled back from a 2-0 third-period deficit. Jonah Wasylak and Justin Augert scored for the Pistons.
