Blues take 2-0 series lead over Kings

Jake Stillwell’s goal with 5:01 remaining in the third period gave the Winnipeg Blues a 2-0 lead in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League championship series on Tuesday night in Dauphin.

Stillwell led the Blues to a 4-3 victory over the Dauphin Kings in Game 2 of the best-of-seven final, with Game 3 slated for Thursday night in Winnipeg. Warren Callis, Liam Bilton and Mitch Hansen also scored for the Blues. Brandonite Mitch Van Teeling, Dylan Butler and Jared Morris scored for the Kings, while Tanner Butler of Souris had a pair of assists.

Byron Spriggs made 26 saves for Winnipeg, while Michael Stiliadis stopped 25 shots for Dauphin.
