The Brandon University Bobcats dropped their opening match of their first women’s volleyball pre-season tournament of the year on Friday.
Second-year left side Shanlee McLennan led the Bobcats with 14 kills in a 3-1 loss to the Manitoba Bisons at the University of Regina Invitational tournament.
The Bobcats’ late game against the Saskatchewan Huskies was still in progress at press time last night.
Brandon did win its first pre-season match on Thursday night by sweeping the Briercrest Clippers from Caronport, Sask. Chloe Reimer had 10 kills and Alexis Loewen added five stuff blocks to lead the Bobcats. Briercrest plays in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference.
