The Brandon University Bobcats women’s volleyball team fell 3-1 (25-17, 21-25, 25-15, 25-18) to the Trinity Western Spartans in their return to Canada West play Thursday at Langley, B.C.
Shanlee McLennan led Brandon (5-8) with 15 kills, while Meaghan Robertson chipped in with six.
The fourth-ranked Spartans improved to 11-2 on the season. The two teams will face each other again Saturday night.
The BU men’s volleyball team (9-3) also visited the Spartans (10-2) last night, but their match was still in progress at press time. Trinity Western is ranked second in the nation, with Brandon five spots back at seventh.
They will also wrap up their two-match weekend set on Saturday.
