Ashleigh Brykaliuk had two goals and an assist as the Westman Wildcats defeated the Winnipeg Ice 4-0 on Friday night, sweeping the best-of-five quarter-final series in the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League.
Karissa Kirkup added a goal and an assist, while Jaycee Magwood scored once.
Meanwhile, the Yellowhead Chiefs avoided elimination with a 3-0 road win over the Winnipeg Avros last night.
Sky Brown made 42 saves for the shutout. Jordyn Tibbatts scored two goals, including an empty-netter, while Jalin Adams rounded out the Yellowhead scoring. Jalyn Elmes set up two goals for the Chiefs, who trail the best-of-five series 2-1, with Game 4 coming up tonight at 7:30 in Shoal Lake.
