Dylan Butler was runner-up for Manitoba Junior Hockey League player of the week after helping lead the Dauphin Kings to a series sweep of the Virden Oil Capitals.

Butler, a 20-year-old forward, had four goals and five points as the Kings swept the Oil Capitals in four games in the Sher-Wood Division final, capping the series with a 5-2 victory in Virden on Saturday night. The Kings now await the winner of the Addison Division final, with the Winnipeg Blues holding a 3-1 lead on the Steinbach Pistons heading into Game 5 tonight in Steinbach.

Blues netminder Byron Spriggs earned the nod as the MJHL player of the week after posting a 2-1 record with a 2.00 goals-against average and .934 save percentage.
