Butler sets table for Kings' winner

Souris’ Tanner Butler helped set up Brenden Hurley’s game-winning goal in overtime as the Dauphin Kings edged the visiting Neepawa Natives 2-1 in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League on Wednesday night.

Jesse Sinatynski scored the other marker for Dauphin (6-4-0) in the third period. Derrick Brooks replied for Neepawa (4-6-1). His goal was set up by Brandon’s Clayton Heinrichs. All three goals were scored on the power play.

In Wednesday night’s other game, the Swan Valley Stampeders beat the Waywayseecappo Wolverines 3-1.

At Swan River, Virden’s Landon Peel set up a pair of goals to lead the Stampeders (3-4-1). Zaine Walker replied for the Wolverines (4-5-1), who got a 38-save effort from goaltender Cory Simons.
