Former Brandon Wheat Kings and Dauphin Kings goalie Joe Caligiuri is adding coaching to his resumé.
Caligiuri, who has spent the past four seasons playing goal at the University of Manitoba, is rejoining Dauphin as the Manitoba Junior Hockey League club’s goaltending coach.
The Kings have also brought another ex-player on board to improve their financial picture.
The team has enlisted former Dauphin defenceman Jordan Pernarowski, now a chartered accountant, to track their financial information.
Meanwhile, another Wheat Kings alumnus has signed his first professional hockey contract.
Right-winger Klarc Wilson, 21, has signed with the Indy Fuel, a new ECHL team based in Indianapolis.
A former first-round bantam draft pick, Wilson was traded by the Wheat Kings to the Edmonton Oil Kings during his Western Hockey League rookie season.
He wrapped up his WHL career last season, setting career highs of 27 goals and 60 points in 72 games with the Prince George Cougars.
