Canada going for fifth after pair of losses

The Canadian junior women’s team will play for fifth place at the USA Volleyball High Performance Championship today at Des Moines, Iowa.

The Canadian squad, which features Brandon’s Jodie Baker, went 0-2 in its second-round group after falling 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-23) to the American women’s junior national team and 3-1 (21-25, 25-19, 25-11, 25-18) to the American girls youth national team on Friday.

Canada will play Chile in the fifth-place match.
