Souris’s Emily Tuttosi and the Canadian under-20 women’s rugby team won the Can-Am Cup by beating the United States 43-6 in the second of their two-game series on Saturday in Sarnia, Ont.
Coreen Riley scored a pair of first-half tries for the Canadians, who made eight roster changes but still managed to sweep the series. They won the opener 51-5 on Wednesday in London, Ont.
Deleka Menin, Alex Tessier and Tiffany Picketts also had tries as Canada built a 31-0 halftime lead.
Tuttosi, a product of the Souris Sabres high school program and the Brandon Barbarians, did not start in the game.
Tuttosi will now return to Calgary for her second year of university and with the Dinos rugby team.
Tuttosi was a Canada West conference all-star last year.
She also started for the Prairie squad at the National Women’s League tournament in Ottawa earlier this month.
