Chiefs' Bowles player of the week

A six-point performance on the weekend has earned Bradley Bowles of the Yellowhead Chiefs the nod as the Chicken Chef West Division player of the week in the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League.

The 17-year-old forward from Elkhorn scored three goals and assisted on two others in the Chiefs’ 7-5 win over the Eastman Selects on Saturday and added another goal in a 5-4 shootout victory over the Pembina Valley Hawks on Sunday. Bowles also posted a +4 plus/minus rating in the two games and is currently tied for sixth in league scoring with five goals and seven points to help Yellowhead post a perfect 5-0-0 record to start the season.
