The Yellowhead Chiefs got goals from four different players as they defeated the Eastman Selects 4-1 in a Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League contest Sunday afternoon at Shoal Lake.
Courtney Marcinyshyn, Jalin Adams, Mackenzie Bortis and Tirra Lemoine all scored for the Chiefs (6-12-4), who got a two-assist effort from Tashel Scantlebury.
On Saturday, Ashleigh Brykaliuk recorded a hat trick in the Westman Wildcats’ 6-0 shut out victory over the Selects (5-8-6) at Hartney. Jaycee Magwood, Karissa Haney and Samantha Dyck also scored for Westman (15-5-1). Kristen Campbell stopped every shot she faced in Westman’s net.
On Sunday, Teagan Pringle scored four times as the Wildcats edged St. Mary’s Academy 11-10 in an exhibition game in Winnipeg. Brykaliuk added a hat trick while Magwood and Karissa Kirkup both scored a pair of goals.
