The Yellowhead Chiefs tied a pair of Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League games over the weekend.
On Sunday at Winnipeg, Tirra Lemoine scored the only goal for the Yellowhead Chiefs as they tied the Winnipeg Ice 1-1. Jordyn Tibbatts picked up an assist and Kennedy Johnston made 23 saves for the Chiefs (3-2-2). Jane Roxburgh replied for the Ice (0-6-1).
On Saturday at Ste. Anne, Courtney Marcinyshyn scored Yellowhead’s lone goal in a 1-1 tie with the Eastman Selects (1-1-2).
Meanwhile in Winnipeg, the Westman Wildcats had their four-game winning streak snapped with a 2-1 loss to the Winnipeg Avros on Saturday. Samantha Dyck scored for the Wildcats (4-2-1). The Avros improved to 3-0-1.
