Connor Cleverley recorded a hat trick and set up two other goals as the Winnipeg Blues defeated the Portage Terriers 6-2 in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League Friday night at Portage la Prairie.
Jeremy Olinyk added one goal and four assists as the Blues (33-12-1) extended their winning streak to eight games.
Brent Wold and Regan Stire replied with the goals for the Terriers (27-17-1).
In Friday’s other MJHL game, it was: Winkler Flyers 4, Steinbach Pistons 1.

At Winkler, Tyler Swerdyliak scored all four goals for the Flyers (15-24-9), while Cartwright’s Jory Mullin added three assists.
Justin Augert scored for the Pistons (24-20-3).
