Clippers into semis, Tigers off to provincials

The Dauphin Clippers are off to the Westman High School Hockey League’s semifinals after disposing of the Deloraine/ Hartney Colts 4-1 on Friday in Hartney.

Riley Helgeson had one goal and two assists for the Clippers, who swept their best-of-three league quarter-final 2-0. Kyler Allard had one goal and one assist while Brayden Rowe added a pair of helpers. Derek Hainsworth replied for the Colts.

Elsewhere Friday, it was: Neepawa Tigers 5, Major Pratt Trojans 3.

In Russell last night, Jesse Adams had a hat-trick to help Neepawa clinch the series 2-0 and advance to AA provincials.

Plainsmen 5 Clippers 3

On Thursday night in Dauphin, Jackson Wallis netted a hat trick as the Plainsmen won the opening game of the best-of-three provincial AAAA qualifier. Luke Galatiuk and Jack Cullen also scored for Crocus, which hosts Game 2 today at Westman Place at 5 p.m. Allard scored a pair of goals and Max Lizotte had the other for Dauphin.
