Colts stack Team Black all-star roster

The Deloraine/Hartney Colts are leading the way for the Westman High School Hockey League all-star game.

Five Colts have been chosen for the game, which will be played on Sunday at 2 p.m., in Hamiota, including Reiden Bodin. Bodin has the lowest goals-against average of all goalies in the all-star game at 2.13 and will be joined on Team Black by fellow Colts Ty Moffat, Riley Bodin, Regan Bertholet and Lucas Hainsworth.

Team Gold is laced with scoring power with four of the league’s five top scorers in Major Pratt’s Brayden Cullum and Landyn Cochrane as well as Neepawa’s Wyatt Salmon and Garett Rempel. The Trojans, Tigers and Vincent Massey Vikings will each be represented by four players.

On the ice on Wednesday, Elisha Bambridge had a goal and two assists as the host Melita/Waskada Devils beat the Vikings 4-3. The Devils finished the regular season at 10-7-1. Colin Holden, Ricky Nicholson and Kirk Dechka replied for the Vikings (10-5-3).

In Wednesday’s other games, it was: Killarney/Wawanesa Raiders 3, Minnedosa Chancellors 2; and Trojans 11, Rivers/Elton Rage 3.

At Minnedosa, Taylor Opperman had a marker and a helper for the Raiders (4-12-1). Blake Marchischuk scored both goals for Minnedosa (4-10-3).

Trojans 11 Rage 3

At Rivers, Cullum netted a pair of goals and set up four more, while Dylan Tanner had a hat trick and an assist for the Trojans (14-3-0). Cochrane added a goal and four helpers. Brock Paddock had two goals for the Rage (8-9-0).
