Brandon Sun - PRINT EDITION

ConnXion place third

The Wheat City ConnXion synchronized skating team finished third at the Prairie Regional championship in Tisdale, Sask., on the weekend.

The open division squad, with skaters aged 17 to 45, placed third in its two programs, scoring 41.57 and 43.77. They go to nationals later this month.

Meanwhile, the elementary-level Brandon Wheat Queens — with skaters between the ages of seven and 13 — finished fifth. They placed sixth in their first program with a score of 13.90 points and fourth in their second with 15.48 points.
