Cross carries Southwest bantams

Tristen Cross scored in regulation time and in the shootout for the Southwest Cougars as they edged the Central Plains Capitals 4-3 in a Winnipeg AAA Bantam Hockey League Division 1 game on Friday night in Portage la Prairie.

Tyler Kirkup added one goal and two assists for Southwest, while Brian Harris netted the other regulation time goal. Dawson Waddell ended the 16-shooter shootout with his game-winner.
