Dalebozik earns player of the week honours

Treherne native Justin Dalebozik of the Steinbach Pistons has been named the Manitoba Junior Hockey League’s player of the week.

The 20-year-old former Neepawa Natives forward had four goals and six points in two playoff games for the Pistons, including the overtime-winner in Sunday night’s 3-2 victory over the Portage Terriers that gave Steinbach a 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven Addison Division semifinal series. Dalebozik had 14 goals and 38 points in 55 regular-season games.

Brandonite Mitch Van Teeling, a 19-year-old forward with the Dauphin Kings, was named a runner-up for this week’s award.
