Brandonite Mark Derlago’s hockey career has taken him to South Korea.
The 26-year-old former Brandon Wheat Kings captain left earlier this week to join the Anyang Halla of Asia League Ice Hockey.
Former National Hockey League defenceman Rick Jackman is among Derlago’s teammates, while Brandon native Dave Bonk is slated to play a second season in the league with Japan’s Nikko Ice Bucks.
Derlago played with the Lausitzer Foxes in Germany’s second division last season, scoring 22 goals and adding 22 assists in 48 games.
