Eagles excellent at gymnastics provincials

Brandon Eagles Gymnasts had a fantastic provincial female championships in Winnipeg on Sunday, with 13 earning all-around medals.

Brook Bradshaw had the best score overall at the competition and won the Provincial 4 title with an all-around score of 51.85. Brandon’s Nicole Russel scored 51.35 all-around to take the Provincial 2 title, while Rebecca Ellis won the Provincial 1 all-around championship with a score of 47.95. The Eagles were also the highest scoring team overall at the meet.

Eagles members Hayley Turner (48.1) and Natalie Sluis (47.0) won silver and bronze, respectively, in Provincial 3 Novice, while Okeri Katjiuari (47.1) took gold in Provincial 3 Argo. Brandon’s Lauren Henriquez tied for first all around in Provincial 2 Tyro with a score of 49.15 while Sharley Taylor scored 49.15 to claim gold in Provincial 2 Argo.

Meanwhile, Eagles gymnast Daphne Ellis won silver in Provincial 1 Tyro with a score of 47.55, Georgia Abel (46.25) finished second in Provincial 1 Argo 2004 and Hannah Tinant (46.9) took home silver in the Provincial 1 Argo 2005-06 division.
