Brandonite Joel Edmundson helped set up Ty Rattie’s second goal of the game for the NHL’s St. Louis Blues on Friday as they skated to a 3-2 overtime victory over the Minnesota Wild at the Prospects Tournament in Traverse City, Mich.
Killarney native Reid Gow, a defenceman, posted a plus/minus rating of +1 for the Blues, while Brandon Wheat King defenceman Nick Walters finished even on the night.
Meanwhile, former Wheat King Klarc Wilson fought Buffalo Sabre prospect Alex Lepkowski in their game on Thursday. Wilson’s New York Rangers fell 6-5 in overtime.
At the Young Stars Classic in Penticton, B.C., the Calgary Flames, who have Brandonite Mike Ferland and Wheat Kings defenceman Eric Roy on their tournament roster, faced the Vancouver Canucks in a game that was in progress at press time.
