Theo Farough scored half of the Neelin Spartans’ points as they advanced to the Campbell Invitational Tournament’s varsity boys’ basketball consolation final with an 86-62 win over the Winston Knoll Wolverines Friday in Regina.
Dylan Minshull added 13 points for Neelin, which will face Saskatoon’s Bishop J. Mahoney today, while Isaak Stark chipped in with 11.
In the varsity girls’ event, Neelin dropped its consolation semifinal 58-54 to the Sisler Spartans, the eighth-ranked AAAA team in Manitoba. Paige Thomson led Neelin with 16 points. Kristine Ward and Jordan Hardy both added 13.
