Flanagan leads the way in finale

Max Flanagan had two goals and an assist as the Swan Valley Stampeders wrapped up the Manitoba Junior Hockey League regular season with a 4-0 victory over the host Waywayseecappo Wolverines on Tuesday night.

Jordan Neduzak added a goal and two assists for the Stamps (33-23-4), while Landon Noel made 20 saves for the shutout. Cory Simons stopped 26 shots for Wayway (25-30-5).

The Wolverines, who finished fourth in the Sher-Wood Division, will battle the first-place Dauphin Kings (47-11-2) in the best-of-seven division semifinals, beginning Friday in Dauphin at 7:30 p.m. Meanwhile, the Stampeders, who were third in the Sher-Wood Division, will face the second-place OCN Blizzard (39-16-5) in the opening round of the playoffs, beginning Saturday night in The Pas.
