T.J. Flett had a great start to his comeback bid on Saturday.
The Brandon Boxing Club competitor made his return to the ring after missing four months with a broken ankle at a card at Grafton, N.D., and won his light heavyweight bout by unanimous decision over Josh Moore of Duluth, Minn. Flett is now 7-0 and had knocked out his first six opponents.
Natasha Armstrong and Colton Easter also had success in North Dakota. Armstrong won her lightweight fight over Grafton’s Selena De Leon by unanimous decision. Easter also won his heavyweight bout over Duluth’s Joe Morones by unanimous decision.
Isiah Hayden was the only Brandon boxer to lose his bout, falling to Cameron Grady in a middleweight fight by split decision. It’s Hayden’s first loss in four fights with Grady, who’s from Mandan, N.D.
Meanwhile at a card in Regina, Brandon’s Jason Lepine defeated Saskatoon’s Demetrius Nolan via decision in a middleweight bout.
