Four-goal third seals Team Gold's all-star victory

Landyn Cochrane of the Major Pratt Trojans scored a pair of goals for Team Gold as they shut out Team Black 5-0 in the Westman High School Hockey League’s all-star game on Sunday in Hamiota.

Zach Roach of the Virden Golden Bears added a goal and an assist for Gold, while Garett Rempel of the Neepawa Tigers and Richy Nicholson of the Vincent Massey Vikings also found the back of the net. Neepawa’s Wyatt Salmon picked up a pair of assists for Gold, which didn’t score until midway through the second frame but exploded for four markers in the third period.

Vincent Massey’s Cooper Blaine and Neepawa’s Brady Plett shared the shutout. Reiden Bodin of the Deloraine/Hartney Colts and Riley Lamb of the Rivers/Elton Rage were in net for Team Black.
