Fury fall in opener

The Westman FC Fury took it on the chin to open the Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association round-robin playoffs on Monday.

The Fury fell 7-2 to the host Portage Trail in a match played in Winnipeg, with Alex Chambers and Marcus Krinke scoring the only goals for the Westman U16 boys squad.

The Fury will host Winnipeg South End United this Saturday at the Vincent Massey at 1 p.m., before closing out the round robin in Winnipeg against FC North West on Sunday.
