Giesbrecht leads way for Vikings

Luke Giesbrecht had 14 kills and six digs to lead the Vincent Massey Vikings to a 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-13) sweep of the Crocus Plainsmen in Game 1 of the junior varsity boys final in the Brandon High School Volleyball League on Monday.

Dale Penner added eight kills, five digs and three blocks for the host Vikings, while Eric Schepp replied with nine kills, five digs and two blocks for the Plainsmen, who will host Game 2 next Monday at Crocus Plains at 8 p.m.
