Grey Cup in Minnedosa on Wednesday

The Grey Cup comes to Minnedosa tomorrow.

The Westman town is the latest stop on the train tour to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Grey Cup, a cross-country tour of 100 communities including all eight CFL cities. Wednesday’s stop in Minnedosa — at Main Street North and 2nd Avenue NE — will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., giving local CFL fans the chance to get their picture taken with the Grey Cup and check out the museum car of league memorabilia, take part in interactive games and tour a train car furnished like a team dressing room.

Donations of non-perishable items will be accepted for the Minnedosa and Area FoodBank Truck.

The tour began in Vancouver back on Sept. 9 and is slated to conclude with the final stop on Nov. 17 in Toronto, the week before the CFL celebrates the 100th Grey Cup game in the city.
