David Haaf’s two goals were all the Waywayseecappo Wolverines needed Friday night as they beat the visiting Selkirk Steelers 4-1 in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
Robert Briem, who plays for his hometown Wolverines (17-20-4), added one goal and Pilot Mound’s Brett Pinkerton picked up an assist.
Hudson Friesen replied with the lone goal for the Steelers (23-18-2).
In Friday’s other games, it was: Winkler Flyers 8, Neepawa Natives 2; and Winnipeg Blues 5, Steinbach Pistons 4 in a shootout.

At Winkler, Justin Faux netted a hat trick and set up two other goals for the Flyers (12-22-8).
Cartwright’s Jory Mullin added one goal and three helpers while Brandonite Tanner Jago chipped in with two assists for the Flyers. McCreary’s Rhett Law had one assist for Neepawa (10-27-5).
Blues 5 Pistons 4 (SO)
At Steinbach, Kyle Bodnaruk had one assist in regulation time and the shootout winner for the Addison Division leading Blues (27-12-1). Dan Taillefer and Myles Nykoluk both had one goal and three assists for the Pistons (21-18-3).
