Make it three straight first-round knockouts for Brandon boxer Noel Harding.
The 33-year-old owner of the Brandon Boxing Club knocked down Cheyenne Ziegler twice and won by knockout in less than two minutes during their middleweight bout in Grand Forks, N.D., on Saturday to improve his overall record to 4-0.
“It was a great fight and I thought I put on a good show,” Harding said. “I scored a couple knockdowns with body shots. That’s what put him out. It was pretty entertaining.”
Harding still fought Ziegler even though the American didn’t make the weight.
With the win, Harding is now ranked fifth in Canada for professional light middleweight boxers.
He was seventh going into the weekend.
His next fight will take place in September in Belcourt, N.D.
