Hartman helps Cards take title

Adam Hartman drove in seven runs as the Canadian Tire Cardinals won their third straight Andrew Agencies Senior AA Baseball League championship with a 13-7 win over the Joe Beeverz Young Guns on Friday night at Andrews Field.

Hartman went 2-for-4 with a pair of three-run doubles, scored twice and drew a walk as the Cardinals won the best-of-five series 3-1. Kirk Graham reached base five times, going 3-for-3 with a pair of walks, a triple, a run scored and two RBIs for the Cardinals.

Winning pitcher Dylan Hapa gave up four runs on four hits and four walks, with eight strikeouts in five innings. He helped his own cause with a couple of hits and an RBI.

Mike Tosh hit two doubles for the Young Guns, who trailed 12-1 at one point. Losing pitcher Jordan Old allowed six runs in 2 2/3 innings.
