The Brandon University Bobcats men’s basketball team will hold its fourth annual Holiday Hoops Classic Sunday at the Healthy Living Centre.
The free basketball clinic will run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and is open to boys and girls from Grades 3-12.
The sessions will teach kids the basics of basketball, focusing on fundamental skills of the game, including proper footwork, shooting mechanics, ball-handling, passing and spacing.
Older players in Grades 9-12 will work on one-on-one moves and using the pick and roll and screens, and will also take part in scrimmages. Bobcat basketball players and coaches will run the clinic.
Admission is free, but participants are asked to bring a new toy to donate to the Brandon Christmas Cheer Registry.
