Brandon’s Quinton Hunter has earned a spot on the Manitoba 16-and-under team that will play in the inaugural Western Canadian Cadet Basketball Championships next week in Edmonton.
Hunter represented Westman in the Manitoba Games in Swan River this month, earning a tryout with the provincial team and eventually cracking the Manitoba squad.
The Manitoba boys will join teams from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Yukon in the championship, which runs from Aug. 2-5.
