Brandon’s Tanner Jago set up a pair of power-play goals to help the Winkler Flyers beat the Steinbach Pistons 7-3 in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League on Monday.
Elsewhere, it was: Selkirk Steelers 4, Portage Terriers 2.
In Winkler, Tyler Swerdyliak and T.J. Fairall scored twice, while Tyson Stoesz, Connor Patchett and Cartwright native Jory Mullin added singles for the Flyers (9-20-7). Jonah Wasylak, Justin Augert and Riley Soderstrom scored for the Pistons (15-17-2).
Steelers 4 Terriers 2
In Selkirk, Brandonite Riley Feser made 33 saves for the Steelers (22-13-2), who received goals from Parker Thomas, Erik Pushka, Justin Derlago and Brett Dudar. Brent Wold and Zack Waldvogel scored for the Terriers (19-12-1).
