Tyson Roblin hurled a three-hit shutout as the Reston Jays blanked the Hartney Hoppers 3-0 on Wednesday in the South West Baseball League.
Roblin struck out three and walked only one batter.
In other SWBL games on Wednesday, it was: Deloraine Royals 12, Melita Beavers 0; and Hamiota Red Sox 8, Wawanesa Brewers 6.
In Hartney, Scott McBrien was the losing pitcher despite allowing only two hits and two walks in 5 1/3 innings. One of the two runs he gave up was earned. John Patmore went 2-for-3 with a run scored for Reston, while Del Cowan was 2-for-3 for Hartney.

In Deloraine, David Hodgson struck out nine in six innings of four-hit ball for the Royals. Andrew Vergaigne was 3-for-4 with a solo homer, three runs and three RBIs. Brandon Ripley was the losing pitcher.

In Wawanesa, Jeff Knight won the game with a three-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the seventh inning and also hit a single. Trevor Kozak led the Brewers with a single and a double. Tyler Reiner earned the win in relief for Hamiota, while Wawanesa reliever Trevor Kozak took the loss.
