Killarney’s Taylor Arnott has been named the Tri-Star rural Manitoba high school athlete of the week.
The 5-foot-4 pitcher and shortstop led the Raiders to the Zone 9 fastball championship by pitching in both games and striking out 15 total batters. She has a .600 batting average for the season and a .673 on-base percentage.
Arnott, a Grade 12 student with an 86 per cent average, will lead the Raiders into fastball provincials this weekend in Altona, where her team is the 10th seed. She also plays volleyball.
