The Dauphin Kings acquired 20-year-old forward Ryan Edevold from the Steinbach Pistons on Friday in exchange for the Manitoba Junior Hockey League list rights to 16-year-old forward Jermaine Loewen.
Edevold, a 5-foot-10, 190-pounder from Crookston, Minn., had nine goals and 15 points in 52 games with the Pistons last season. Loewen, who was born in Jamaica and was a third-round draft pick by the WHL’s Kamloops Blazers, had 14 goals and 14 assists with the Interlake Lightning in 40 Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League games last season.
