Guillaume Naud was involved in every Dauphin Kings goal — scoring two markers and assisting on one — as they defeated the host Waywayseecappo Wolverines 3-2 in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League Thursday night.
Jesse Sinatynski added one goal and two assists for Dauphin (29-11-3), which moved within one point of the OCN Blizzard for the Sher-Wood Division lead. Francis Alarie had two assists.
Kyle Threndyle and Pilot Mound’s Brett Pinkerton replied for the Wolverines (16-20-4).
Killarney’s Brian Archibald got the start for Dauphin but was pulled in favour of Jeremy Pominville after allowing two goals on four shots. Pominville made 25 saves. Cory Simons made 30 saves for Wayway.
In Thursday’s other game, the Winnipeg Blues defeated the Portage Terriers 5-0.

At Portage la Prairie, Jared Morris netted a hat trick, while Brett Brooks and Connor Cleverley added singles for the Addison Division leading Blues (26-12-1).
Byron Spriggs made 30 saves for his first shutout of the season. MacGregor’s Mitch Wiebe stopped 28 of the 33 shots he faced for Portage (23-15-1).
