Kings rework roster with more moves

The Manitoba Junior Hockey League’s Dauphin Kings are continuing to wheel and deal.

The league announced Monday that the Kings, who are 16th in the Canadian Junior A rankings with a 19-6-1 record, officially acquired the rights to 19-year-old forward Mitch VanTeeling of Brandon from the BCHL’s Vernon Vipers for future considerations. Dauphin also dealt 18-year-old defenceman Reid Burak to the Winkler Flyers for the MJHL list rights to 15-year-old forward Jordan McCausland and future considerations.

In another move, the Virden Oil Capitals also continued to revise their roster, dealing 19-year-old forward Ben Johnston to the SJHL’s Nipawin Hawks for future considerations.
