Brandon’s Katharina Knipping brought back a bevy of medals from the Manitoba air rifle championships in Winnipeg over the weekend.

Competing against a field of shooters from Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Ontario, the young member of the Brandon Wildlife Junior Rifle Club placed first in the sub junior category (16-and-under) and second in the junior category (21-and-under).

Knipping also was first in the expert ranking and teamed up with Winnipeg shooter Ella Mark to take the team trophy.

Knipping will now advance to the Canadian air rifle championships in Beachburg, Ont., from Aug. 1-6.
