Last-second goal wins it for Vikings

Troy Heywood scored with one second left in regulation time to lift the Vincent Massey Vikings to a 3-2 Westman High School Hockey League win over the Major Pratt Trojans Sunday night at Russell.

Bradley Schoonbaert gave Massey a chance to win by tying the game just 41 seconds earlier. Ryker Batson added one goal and one assist for Massey (5-4-0). Kale Robinson and Brayden Cullum replied for the Trojans (10-2-0).

On Saturday at Glenboro, Jordan Robertson scored two goals and had one helper in the Glenboro/Carberry/Baldur Wildcats’ 8-0 win over the Hamiota Huskies (0-12-0). Travis Myers and Colin Van Kommer both had one goal and one assist for the Wildcats (9-5-1).
