Wawanesa’s Jordan Thomson added one goal for Team West, while Elkhorn’s Travis Sanheim chipped in with one helper in a warm-up game for the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Victoriaville and Drummondville, Que. Wheat King forward Jayce Hawryluk took a tripping penalty, while Virden Oil Capitals goalie Ty Edmonds did not play. Team West, which begins the tournament today versus Sweden, also includes Wheat King assistant coach David Anning and Brandonite Jody Norminton as its equipment manager.
